Your own domain

The paid plan puts a domain you already own (yourbusiness.com) on your Nova site. A domain needs the paid plan: $12, $16 or $24 a month, depending on the design. We do the technical part with you; you keep the domain.

What is included

• We connect a domain you own to your site.
• The Nova line in the footer is gone.
• The name.pixelpulsenova.com address keeps working, so links you already shared do not break.

How it goes

1. In your account, open My sites and press Manage on the site. Press Upgrade on the Plan card or the Domain card; the button shows the price for your design, from $12 a month. On the Upgrade plan page, press Continue to checkout and Stripe takes the card.
2. When the site reads Paid (Paid · Web, or the tier of your design), its Domain card (My sites, then Manage) shows a field. Type the domain you already own and press Connect it. That emails us. We do not attach DNS or certificates automatically.
3. We email you the exact DNS change to make at the place where you bought the domain (GoDaddy, Namecheap, Squarespace, Cloudflare, and so on). If you would rather do it together, say so. You can also use the contact form with the topic "Help with my Nova site".
4. We confirm by email when the domain answers. DNS changes can take up to a day to spread everywhere, so we do not promise a time.

Things to know

• You keep the domain at your registrar and keep paying them for it: buying and renewing it are separate from Nova and not paid to us. We never own it and never move it.
• We do not sell domains. If you do not have one yet, buy it at any registrar, then upgrade.
• Email on that domain is not affected. We only touch the record for the website.
• One domain per site. Two sites need two plans.

If you cancel

The paid plan runs to the end of the month you already paid for. Then the site goes back to the free plan and your domain stops pointing to it; the name.pixelpulsenova.com address keeps working. The domain is still yours at your registrar, so you can point it somewhere else. See Billing, cancel, refund.

If the domain already has a site

Point it to Nova only when you are ready. Until you make the DNS change, the old site keeps showing, and nothing on our side changes it.
