Publish free. Pay only if you want your own domain.

Publishing on a Nova address costs nothing, with no ads and no trial that runs out. Putting the site on a domain you already own is $12 a month on most designs; four designs that carry a small system behind them cost more, explained below. Nova does not sell domains: you buy yours wherever you like.

Your own domain

Cancel and the site goes back to its free Nova address. Nothing is deleted.

Everything in the free plan, on a domain you already own. You type it in your account and we connect it with you by hand: we email you the one change to make where you bought it and confirm when it answers, with no promised time. You keep buying and renewing the domain at your registrar.

  • Your domain, connected by us
  • No Nova line in the footer
  • Signature motion as you scroll, once you pick it in the editor
  • A short video at the top of the home page, on designs that have one

The design sets the price.

Four designs carry a small system behind them (dated entries or orders) and cost more on your domain. Everything in them works on the free plan too, and the paid plan adds the same things on every design: the design sets the price.

WebEvery other design

$12/mo

The paid plan above: your domain connected, no Nova line, Signature motion once you pick it, and the hero video on designs that have one.

Light systemBlog & Editorial, Courses & Tutoring and Nonprofit & Church

$16/mo

The same paid plan. These designs also carry articles, courses and events with a real date and a page each, and the Entries panel in your account to add and edit them. That works on the free plan too.

StoreProduct Catalog

$24/mo

The same paid plan. This design also carries a cart, an order page, the Orders panel with each order's status, an email per order for you and the buyer, and a pay link per product (Stripe, PayPal or your bank's; Nova keeps 0%). That works on the free plan too.

Line by line.

Both plans include

  • Your site, every page in the design
  • Hosting, HTTPS, no ads
  • Forms to your inbox
  • Dated entries and the Entries panel (Blog & Editorial, Courses & Tutoring and Nonprofit & Church)
  • Orders from the site and the Orders panel (Product Catalog)
  • Edit and republish, as often as you like
  • Ready for Google to find
  • Switch styles without losing content
  • Help center and a person who answers

How to upgrade a site you published.

It happens in your account, one site at a time. Nothing to republish.

  1. Publish free

Pick a design, fill it in and publish it. The site is on its Nova address and shows up in your account at app.pixelpulsenova.com.

  2. Upgrade the plan

In your account, open the site and upgrade its plan ($12/mo, or your design's price; the price shows on the button). Stripe takes the card. In about a minute the site reads Paid and the Nova line goes away on its own.

  3. Connect your domain

Back in your account, the site now lets you enter a domain. Type the one you already own and ask to connect it. We do it by hand: we email you the DNS change and tell you when it answers, with no promised time. Receipts, card changes and cancelling are in the site's billing section.

What Nova does not do, said before you pay.

We are a small team with a small product. This is what you would find at Wix or Squarespace and not here, and what you get instead.

Not here

  • An app store or plugins
  • Newsletters or email marketing sent from the site
  • Bookings with a live calendar: requests reach your inbox
  • Card checkout inside the site: orders reach your inbox and your account, and each product can link to your own payment page
  • Several users on one account
  • Phone support around the clock

Here

  • A design made for your trade, pages included, not a generic theme
  • Hosting on a secure connection, and a public status page with the last 30 days
  • A person answers at the help center
  • Month to month, no annual price that renews higher, no ads on the free plan

Billing, plainly.

The longer version is in the help center: billing, cancel, refund.

Nothing. The free plan is the whole site on a Nova address, with no card on file. You pay from $12 a month only when you move the site to your own domain; the price for your design shows on the Upgrade button.

No. The monthly price is billed month to month and you cancel from your account whenever you like. At the end of the month you already paid for, the site drops back to the free plan on its Nova address and your domain stops pointing to it. Nothing is deleted, and the domain stays yours at your registrar.

No, and we do not sell them. We connect a domain you already own: buy it wherever you like and keep paying your registrar to renew it. Connecting it needs the paid plan. After you upgrade, type it into your account and ask to connect it: we send you the exact DNS change and confirm when it is live, with no promised time.

We pick the design for your trade, load your copy, prices and photos, connect your domain and hand you the login. $199 one time through December 31, then back to $349. The monthly price for the domain is the same as everyone else's: the one for your design.

Not with a card inside the site. The Product Catalog takes orders: a cart, an order page, and the order lands in your inbox and in your account with a status. Each product can carry a pay link (Stripe, PayPal or your bank's) and the buyer pays you directly. Nova keeps nothing.

Because they carry a small system: dated entries with their panel (Blog & Editorial, Courses & Tutoring and Nonprofit & Church) or orders with their panel (Product Catalog). It is work we maintain, not a prettier design. On the free plan it works the same, and the paid plan adds the same things as on a $12 design: your domain, no Nova line and Signature motion.
