Articles, courses and events with dates
Which designs have dated entries, how they are sorted, the page each article and course gets, the 15-page limit, and editing them from your account.
Three designs keep a list of dated entries: articles on Blog & Publication, courses on Courses & Workshops, and events on Nonprofit & Mission. Each entry has a real date, and the site puts the list in order for you.
How they are sorted
- Articles: newest first, by the article's date.
- Courses: soonest first, by the start date.
- Events: soonest first, by the event's date.
You do not reorder entries by hand. Change the date and the order follows. An entry with no date goes after the dated ones.
A page for each article and course
Each article and each course gets a page of its own under your site's address. The address comes from the title of the article or the name of the course: an article called "Spring menu notes" lives at /article/spring-menu-notes, and a course called "Intro to pottery" at /course/intro-to-pottery. Accents are dropped and spaces become hyphens. Events are listed on the events page and do not get a page each.
If you rename an entry, its address changes with it, so a link someone saved to the old name stops working.
Up to 15 entry pages
A site gets up to 15 entry pages. They go to the first 15 entries in the order above, so on a blog the 15 newest articles. Entries past that stay in the list but do not get a page of their own. An entry whose link points to another website keeps that link and does not use a page.
Editing entries
Sign in at app.pixelpulsenova.com and open the Entries tab for the site. Change an entry's text or date there. Visitors see the change once you publish the site again; until then they see the last version you published.
