Rates, lead times and what lands on your site.
I work with homeowners, architects and hospitality operators who need millwork built to a measured tolerance. What a commission includes is written into its own quote.
Bespoke Furniture Commissions
Dining tables, credenzas, desks and seating, built from hardwood picked board by board for the piece.
Architectural Millwork & Built-Ins
Full-room library walls, fireplace surrounds, banquette seating, and kitchen islands coordinated directly with your general contractor.
Production Drawing Sets & Scribe Plans
Exhaustive 2D/3D fabrication drawing sets, hardware schedules, cut lists, and fastener details for independent builders and millshops.
Material Consulting & Prototyping
Full-scale physical joinery mockups, custom stain and oil finish formulation, and species durability testing for commercial hospitality.
For contractors and interior architects.
I know what wrecks a site schedule: drawings missing scribe details, an uncoordinated rough-in, a late delivery.
Measured before anything is drawn
I measure the room before the mechanicals close up, so wall plumb, ceiling line and floor level are known numbers instead of assumptions.
Drawings with the scribe allowance in them
Cut lists, fastener specs, chase routes and a scribe strip on the outer pilasters, so nobody is solving the fit on site.
Installed by me, or crated for your crew
I install, or the piece ships with assembly notes and labelled hardware for your own finish carpenters.
Hardwoods and finishes I work in.
- White oak, quarter and rift
- Straight grain and high structural density. The usual choice for long-span shelving and a dining top that gets used.
- American black walnut
- Dark, even colour with enough figure to carry a plain face frame on its own.
- Solid brass hardware
- Unlacquered, so it darkens with handling instead of flaking.
- Soap and hardwax oil finishes
- Repairable in place: a scuff comes out of one panel without sanding the whole surface back.
